I am having difficulty getting the Sharing Windows Media Player libraries feature to work with my Xbox 360. Do I need to install Windows Media Connect (the documentation leads me to believe that I dont)?

Sharing Media Player Libraries with Xbox 360
I think you should - it's part of Microsoft/Windows Update, so I believe so. Have a go... if that doesn't work, give us another shout :o)
I'm not an XBOX 360 fan, nor am I a huge gaming fan... normally too much else to do!

Per the WM Connect FAQ, it should be used... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/devices/wmconnect/faq.aspx
Have a pleasant day.

WMC is built into Vista already, so it is not necessary to install the V 2.0 for XP release. Its features really are hidden, but you can see them if you drill down into the network extensions when looking for content.
You probably will have better luck if you post your question to the Microsoft.public.windowsmedia.devices newsgroup or at Alan Ludwig's site (one of the principle architects/developers for WMC) at http://wmcplayer.com/forum/ or http://blogs.msdn.com/alan%5Fludwig/. The more specific the information you provide, the better your answer will be. I believe what you are asking might relate more to how you add the 360 as an eXtender through the MCE UI than running PCSETUP as an XP solution, which is not for Vista. As you know, the WMC CDS features and the MCE eXtender functionality are two different sets of services. Good luck.

Its currently not working or supported under Vista, I think it was reported that this will be fixed in a future build. -- Andre Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm
